Susanne Harrington is a designer and strategist who keeps our most complex projects focused on the client’s big picture brand objectives. She drives the firm’s emphasis on long-term relationships by ensuring that we deliver responsive service and maintain an open, collaborative process. At the core of everything is her belief that timeless and thoughtful design can create clarity, add value, and make places easier to navigate and enjoy.

Susanne has an extensive background in publishing, corporate communication, identity, environmental design, and wayfinding. The daughter of an architect and a quilter, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in visual communication from the University of Kansas, then worked in Chicago and Los Angeles before making Austin home. She is honored to serve on the board of the Austin Foundation for Architecture.

Shawn Harrington leads the firm’s work on branding, identity, and collateral projects and also serves as the primary client contact for many of our longest-running relationships. He is an expert at working with organizations to uncover, understand, and distill their offering’s visual personality, which he then uses to craft clear and engaging graphic identities and brand systems.

Before launching Asterisk, Shawn worked as a designer and art director for multiple Fortune 500 clients. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in communication design from the University of North Texas and is a past lecturer at Texas State University.

Dave Cajolet is a savvy experiential designer with an extensive background leading, designing and implementing all types of branded environments, wayfinding and donor recognition projects. He brings to Asterisk a proven track record in a wide range of client sectors including, academic, civic, arts & culture, hospitality, recreation and retail.

Originally from Boston, Dave takes great pride in a human-centric approach to creating memorable experiences in the built environment collaborating with other design specialists in architecture, landscape design and fabrication.

Oscar Morris has been translating brand and marketing strategies into effective design since 2006. Moving adeptly between the worlds of identity development, interactive and print design, and environments, Oscar brings ideas to life using the most relevant visual language for every application. He even contributes his work as an illustrator to projects when appropriate.

Before joining Asterisk, Oscar was with Foxtrot, where he worked with brands including SXSW, Ketra, Amazon, Red Bull, Austin Film Society, and Indeed. Oscar earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design from Texas State University.

Chuck Sanders is multi-disciplinary designer with a specialization in experiential graphic design. He has worked on projects of all sizes, including restaurants, corporate offices, mixed-use developments, airports, hospitals and medical centers, government buildings, multifamily towers, hotels, parks, parking garages, university campuses, and research facilities. From design to fabrication and project management, he leads projects from kick-off to final implementation. His goal is always to enhance the experience of the built environment through carefully considered design systems based on logic, craft, and contextual integration.

In addition to his experiential work, Chuck’s skills include brand development, and print, web, and software design. He earned a BFA and MFA in Communication Design from Texas State University.

Writer and brand strategist Mark Denton handles many of Asterisk’s naming, messaging, and content development projects. Through his own firm, Content & Context, Mark also provides public relations, content management, and digital marketing services to clients in the real estate, professional services, and technology industries.

Mark has an extensive background in architecture and real estate and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from The University of Texas at Austin.

Colin Morris is a multi-disciplinary designer with a keen ability to uncover and translate brand stories into compelling, engaging experiences. Skilled in print, digital, and environmental design, Colin’s curiosity and meticulous attention to detail drive a holistic, human-centered approach that informs every project.

Colin's journey includes roles in screen printing, brand design, 3D modeling, and UX, each adding layers of depth to his design perspective. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design and a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media Innovation from Texas State University, blending creativity with technical expertise in his work.
