Austin PBS Makes a Move

The next chapter of an Austin icon

Austin’s much-loved PBS station is preparing to move from their long-time home at the University of Texas at Austin to an adaptive-reuse office and studio space at the Highland development, marking the beginning of their new relationship with Austin Community College.

As they pack up more than 60 years worth of memories, we’ll be working with Austin PBS leadership and staff to capture key historical moments and artifacts — including the original Austin City Limits stage — and translate them into public exhibits at the new location.

Asterisk is also handling donor recognition and exterior and interior signage for the new 70,000-square-foot facility, which was designed by Studio Steinbomer with interiors by Laura Britt Design.
