Working with the executive team of the Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority and their agency of record, we handled a brand update for the transit system known to local Austinites as CapMetro. As riders and fans of the system, the project has been a meaningful way for our team to impact and shape the growth of our city.
Our scope included establishment of the visual brand language — wordmark, color palette, symbols, and devices — with an eye on the future expansion of the transit system via Project Connect. We developed a proof-of-concept Experience Model to test the program across typical rider touchpoints: ticket purchase and planning apps, station and stop signage, vehicle livery, staff uniforms, fare cards, etc., then developed materials for the executive team to present to the CapMetro board in late 2021. The internal team at CapMetro is busy applying and rolling out the program as product life cycles and budgets allow.
