A Win for Netflix
The Art of Craft — a series of lobby installations created for Netflix's Albuquerque Studios — has earned a 2025 SEGD Global Design Award in the Branded Environments category.
This collection celebrates the skilled tradespeople who work behind the scenes to bring film and television to life. Through finely crafted, dimensional installations, the series highlights the overlooked tools and materials of industry trades while paying tribute to the cultural and natural iconography of New Mexico.
Highlights include:
• A turquoise brooch formed from hair and makeup tools
• Piñon pine branches reimagined through costuming materials
• The geometry of rattlesnake skin rendered in the textures and tools of set construction
Asterisk is the only Texas-based firm recognized in the 2025 SEGD Awards, following our 2024 win in the same category.
